Day 1- Grocery shopping
Okay maybe while the kids are at baseball practice you’ll have time to run to the store. Now the only probably is do you choose hotdogs or hamburgers?
Day 2- Put together playlist
So today’s going to be a busy one. You’re in meetings all day but it looks like the morning traffic might work in your favour. Jump on Spotify and put together your playlist…and don’t forget to include Party in the USA!
Day 3- Kid gets sick
Your youngest has a tummy ache so you’re on doctor duty. Grab the kid some ginger ale and crackers, there’s always tomorrow to get stuff done.
Day 4- Clear off patio
Finally, you have some free time! The kids are at a sleepover and that patio is going to be spotless before you go to bed.
Day 5- Buy fireworks
It’s now or never! You have to get to a stand before the good ones are all sold out. Be sure to grab some sparklers for the kids!
Day 6- Bake dessert
Time to bake your Pinterest worthy dessert. No one has to know that the cake came out of a box as long as it’s red, white and blue you’re good!
Day 7- Clean house
The day has come, happy Fourth of July, but before you can celebrate you’ve got to get the house cleaned. You have 1 hour until guests arrive so here’s how you’ll do it:
10 min.: Wipe down kitchen and bathroom counters. Go over the faucet and get rid of water spots, making it really shine!
10 min.: Clean the toilet, switch out the towels and make sure there’s toilet paper.
5 min.: Do a quick dusting wherever it may need it.
10 min.: Pick up the living room and fluff the pillows.
5 min.: Empty the trash.
10 min.: Make the beds… or convince the kids to.
10 min.: Vacuum the main areas of the house.
You’ve done it! Your cookout will be the talk of the neighbourhood, now go have a hamburger and light off a Roman Candle for us. Enjoy your Independence Day!
