Keeping your New’s Resolution can be tough. Life gets in the way and it’s easy to slip back into old habits. We want to see you succeed though and so we’ve put together a simple list of ways that will make you stick to those 2018 goals!
Be Held Accountable
Let someone in on your goals for the new year that way when you start to slip someone will be there to push you back on the bandwagon. Be clear with them though that you want them to help motivate you, not guilt you when you take an extra bite of dessert or skip leg day every now and then.
Set Short Term Goals
If you’re wanting to exercise more in the new year, tell yourself that you’ll go to the gym twice a week. Maybe eating healthier is on your to do list, so learn one new recipe a month. This is a way to iron out the details that will go into keeping those resolutions.
Keep Your Resolutions Realistic
Make sure your plan for the new year is achievable and don’t feel bad if you have to take a step back and reevaluate. You don’t want to get discouraged and quiet completely.
Make Time
It’s fun to make new year’s resolutions but it’s hard to keep them if you don’t have the time. Don’t give yourself excuses. Instead of spending countless hours keeping the house clean hire a maid service and use that time to jog around the neighborhood or cuddle up with the kids. Give yourself the freedom to fulfill your goals.
